Sapa — Leather since 50s

The history of SAPA dates back to the 50s. SAPA was born as a company based in Santa Croce sull'Arno, the beating heart of the tanning industry, whose goal was the collection of fresh hides, subsequently salted in Florence, in Via della Concia.

Over the years SAPA has evolved through numerous partners and collaborators, up to the current owner who has been carrying out the project since 1999. For over half a century Sapa has maintained the same goal: freshness and quality.

Even today, the business mainly deals with the creation of split leather and raw hides for footwear and leather goods, sold and bought all over the world. In recent years, our reference markets are located in the United States, China, Korea, Mongolia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Spain and Portugal.
